BlackBerry Bold 9700 OS 6.0.0.534 Leaked Online

Once again... compliments of BBHPlus Twitter feed

Bold 9700 users were left out when all of the .524 builds were dropping. Luckily, the 9700 has leaped ahead and OS 6.0.0.534 has hit. No word on the changelog for this build, but we’d imagine it should be pretty solid. Hit the break to download.

After I installed the new version, I made a blackberry protect rescue, but after the rescue told me she made the first rescue. But I had already made two saves before. I do not think that's normal.

I had a problem with 3G. It was working ok but after a while it did nothing couldn't make phone call or sent a text message.

I switched back to GPRS and evrything started to work again.

Now my phone is set to 2G&3G nut it keeps hanging on GPRS.

Battery live still very ok I have to say.

Memory leak is still present.

This build does not support Russian, which is very important to me. Is there a way to import the Russian codes from a prior build?

When removing locked phone from holster unlock is not highlighted, forcing you to move the cursor onto it. There seems to be an extra selection above unlock, but there's nothing actually there. it is quite annoying.

Hello from Italy! I am happy to
confirm that as soon as flashed some misterious GPS issues that I had intermittently simply vanished. It is too early to say if this is a rock solid OS release, but it is working now 15 hours without even thinking to act a vulcanian nerve pinch on the BB.
At first reboot some strange and weird thinghs happened to my Music and Video icons, but a simple "Teme Reset" fixed everything. It also seems that the GPS position gets acknowledged in half t
he previous time. May be simple luck, but I just tested the Car Locator Applet this morning and it was blazing fast. Keep on testing, I will let you know....8-)

Silverghost:
when you open blackberry maps, and, you have no GPS reception (in house)
Will blackberry maps show your location using cell tower caclulation in this release ?
You notice that by the large green circle which is the level of inaccuracy of the location calculation.

TIA

Answering my own question:
no, location using cell towers does not work with bbmaps in this release.

Hi, it correctly starts with GMpas, i seldom use BBMaps.
Anyway, the GPS Issue has been tested witha two third party apps: Endomondo and Find my Car.
With previous release I had problems of "missing location data" at application startup: now they seems gone, ora I have a response in a decent time.

Now I am having some strange problem with Bluetooth, but it will be 99% my destop PC having a monday blue.

Yesterday I made some testing with WiFi and the connecting time from same place to same AP in WPA2 seems slashed in half.
Is it just an impression or the WiFi Scanning for AP is also much faster?

Feel free to send me PIN Messages, I put the PIN_ID for that reason.
Have a nice day
8-)

Seems to work for me. I did have an issue with it not refresahing GPS yesterday, but that turned out to be due to a rainy day. Sunny skies now the GPS connects. Only problem I have now is it won't let me log into my shopper app. No error message or anything it just keeps trying to log in forever and never connects. Internet works fine in all the other apps and stuff. I am unsure why it wouldn't work, it did in a previous 6.0 beta - can't see that much changing since then

For me, Cell-tower location with blackberry maps does not work, whatever I do.
It does work if BBmaps is used by other apps (like poynt) but, not, if I just start BB-maps.
Interesting: the cell-tower-location is more accurate with bbmaps then when bbmaps is used together with poynt.

GPS does work, but, not more or less reliable the with other releases ( does lock up after about 2 days, and, I have to do a battery pull to enable it again).

Cell tower Location works instantly with Google Maps, latest release.
I had to set again default Services before Blackberry Desktop works again with Sync. It is almost usual after every New OS Flash.

"Cell tower Location works instantly with Google Maps, latest release."

but, this is not what I am interested in, since I do not (and never will) use google maps.
I would like to know, if it works or not for anyone else using blackberry maps.

TIA.

Save pictures to media card Option not working.
All pics are saved to device memory even though it is set to save to the media card.

Works ok here. What happens when your internal memory is full ?
