Inbox Subfolders empty after moving messages?

I have a question that I can't seem to find the answer for. I have a user that has an 8830 synced to Outlook with BES 4.1. Everything works perfectly except for the fact that he can't seem to see the emails that he moves to any of his subfolders in his Outlook Inbox. He moves a new email to a subfolder in his inbox, picks up his BB and goes to Messages, Options, View Folder, but when he opens up the folder, it is empty. I have tried everything that I can think of. This includes synchronize now, resending the service book, doing a complete hard reboot, and a complete Re-activation through BES all to no avail. Any ideas or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Turn on folder redirection - options/email settings/menu-folder redirection and check the folders you would like to view.

The bad part is that all messages (even if moved) show up in the "inbox" of the bb

You can go back in to the General Options for Messages (Messages > Options) and set "SMS and Email Inboxes: Seperate" and "Hide Filed Messages: Yes"

These two settings will make it so you see a "New Folder Message" Icon instead of a New Messages icon so that you know you have received something, just that it's in a folder and not your main inbox.

Thanks everyone for your help. It worked like a charm.

Any other way?

Sorry for opening a semi closed thread but I was wondering if there was any other way to view this files.

I have trained my users to file everything from their inbox into folders by topic/date/or sender. Now that we are running a BES they still use this but cant see any messages in the sub folders.

Does anyone know a way to force the bes to allow sub folders to show messages without folder redirection turned on?

Rick

Log into BES, Launch Blackberry Manager, right click on the user name and select, Choose folders for redirection. Expand Inbox and select the subfolders that you want.
