It is great trivia, most people do not know that he resigned from mid-air, causing the airplane to lose it's designation of Air Force One

...it took off with the President (as Air Force One) and landed with only another citizen (and became only another Air Force jet). ONLY when THE President is aboard, is it called Air Force One.
