It's in Hong Kong too, I just bought 8700r from canada, and spent 150usd on unlocking it. I feel so great when no one in Hong kong got the same phone likes mine, and then another moment, hong kong got 8700g, I am so frustrated, what's the point of getting it in canada?....

10mA,

I travel back-forth between Singapore and US - and I just have two stupid questions...
1. What kind of plan will you have? Blackberry Internet Service or Enterprise? How much are you paying for it per month?
2. Does this mean there will be awesome accessories at the local Singapore stores? Do you have any 8700-specifc accessories? I'm still waiting for some good accessories

No worries, no question is stupid unless not asked. 8-)
I'm subscribing to Unlimited Plan. i.e. SGD$61.95/mth on the data plan alone.
On top of that I have a voice plan, PowerValue 300, i.e SGD$47.25. You can opt for lower voice plan, e.g. PowerValue 80(SGD$19.95/mth ) or PowerValue 100. At the minimum I'm paying SGD$109.20/mth. If I'm on roaming, the value can range from that minimum figure to SGD$150/mth. Well, I don't roam as much as you, I guess.

As for accessories, I have not seen any good stuffs selling in Singapore yet. What type of 8700 specific accessories are you looking for?

wow! your plan is expensive as compared to what Starhub is offering my company.

I think the rates are a bit lower when I get the service plan through the company I work for...but I have to use SingTel though. I am curious if the 8700 can work if I bring my unlocked 8700 from Cingular (yes they unlocked it for me...for free!).

In terms of Accessories - two items - a leather case/slip and a screen protector

1. I was thinking about getting a leather case or slip case that I can just put into my back-pocket or briefcase (I think I'm getting fat because it's becoming more difficult to clip my phone/BB to my belt - especially with my love-handles).

2. Also, I'm debating whether or not I should get my phone "wrapped" in different colors (I saw it done at singapore shopping centers...but I was a bit hesitant).

3. If I have the case - I guess I won't need the screen protector then.

Thanks for your quick reply - I'm afraid to think what the roaming charges will be...
