Setting Date/Time on 8830

Coming from the Treo series of smartphones on Verizon (600,650, 700w and wx), I remember a dialogue box that configured the device to get the time and timezone from Verizon. I haven't seen any such configuration setting on the 8830 - and while the time is correct now; I'm travelling on business later today (within the US), and will be changing timezones. I expect that the 8830 will update the timezone from Verizon's network - but is there an explicit setting to configure this ?

Thanks

The blackberry does not do this. Manually change time zone setting in options.

Good luck.

Thanks for the tip; so I understand that I have to change the time zone manually. But the date/time source is set to 'Network' and the time hasn't reset itself to the local time. In fact the network time on the options page show one hour earlier. Do I have to set. Both the timezone and time?

You can click in that screen to "update time", should you need.

This is strange; updating the time doesn't do anything - in fact, if I set the time manually back one hour updating it returns it to its original value.

Do you have the correct time zone set?

Daylight Savings?

I found my mistake - I had set the timezone to indiana and not central.

Thanks to everyone who responded.
