Wifi & Web Browsing problem pls help
 

i have connected to a hotspot wifi and the connection is shown in 'Manage Connection'.
However, when i use the browser, it is shown that :
Unable to connect to the internet, please try again later.
if the problem persists please contact your service provider.
Please help! thanks sooooo much

Please complete your profile. We need to know who your carrier is to answer the question. Do you have a Blackberry Data plan with your provider?

This is because mobile data service is turned off? Goto manage connections and turn it on. This should make your browser work. To make sure the phone doesn't use the 3G network instead of WIFI, remove the sim card then try to access the web via wifi.

Actually, just turn off Mobile network instead of removing sim card. Alot easier.

yes, i don't recommend remove sim. i suggest remove sim was just a way to isolate and 100% sure that the ph is not using the data from the sim.

But when turn off "mobile network data service" - the wifi will not work. the phone will not get IP address from the ap.

No, you leave DATA SERVICES: ON but UNCHECK the mobile network box in manage connections.
