Browser Identification 8330
Hi there,
Just a quick question, ( I searched this 8300 forum before asking) - When I open my native browser, click menu>options>browser config then drop the menu bar down next to Broswer Identification I see 3 options - Blackberry, IE and Firefox. What's up with that? I understand that I can put Firefox on my device, I don't want to. Just wondering why it and IE are hard wired options? Thanks! |
Are you referring to the browser emulation modes?

Yes, but it's called Browser Identification on the new OS versions.
Those options in the BlackBerry Browser allow the device browser to be viewed by the mobile sites that you visit as whichever browser identification you choose. Typically, you would use the "BlackBerry" identification for most uses. This way the webpage will configure the page using the best settings for a mobile device. If you have problems viewing a webpage, you might try a different Browser Identification. |
Thanks again, Motorcycle Mama!

You need to scroll to the bottom and select it from "Emulation Mode."
