Model that allows apps to use Bluetooth earpiece

Looking for BB models that allows apps (e.g. Pandora) to use the Bluetooth earpiece for sound.
Apparently some models like my 8330 curve doesn’t allow applications (e.g. Pandora, drivesafe.ly, etc) to transmit sound to Bluetooth. It only uses Bluetooth earpiece for the phone.

I would upgrade to a newer model if I can be sure it allows installed apps to use the Bluetooth earpiece,
thanx

The 8330 does indeed allow you to use the BT to headset feature. First of all, I'm assuming that you are using OS 4.5+. Second, your BT headset has to have A2DP enabling capability and your software has to be able to output the sound to a connected BT headset.

I had an 8330 and it worked for me but it depends upon the software being used and the BT headset that must be A2DP compatable.

thank you pshift, I will check if my Plantronics Pro has the A2DP capability. It is one of the most expensive BT on the market, so I surly hope so. Yes I have OS 4.5 on my BB.
I'm using the drivesafe.ly application that reads out loud the emails. I have a job where I have to multitask and just listening to the emails while doing something else makes life easier. I gate 100-200 emails a day. Some important some not so much. It is great, but with my 8330 it only reads to speaker. The application does have BT suppoirt. In the car I can't hear it, and on the office meetings sometimes creates some embarrassing moments because I can't really stop crude advertisers. :-)

Well.. just looking at Plantronics Voyager Pro and Pro+.. neither has A2DP capabilities. The most expensive BT and no A2DP. Wonderful. So it might not has to do with the Curve 8330. It is the BT. :-(
