Data plan. Help needed

Hey guys. Im new to the forums and i'm about to go out and buy my first blackberry. ive had android phones for the last couple of years and i felt like i needed a change and a lot of people have recomended the blackberry. Now here are a couple of questions that i would like to ask.

BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300 + Line Rental Discount on Orange Dolphin 20 (24mths) inc. BlackBerry at BuyMobilePhones.net

im buying my phone off them and i was thinking what does the 250MB BlackBerry Internet mean? does that include BBM in it and how long will 250 mb last? Will that allow me to go on facebook, twitter and BBM for a full month or is it likely to go over the limit?

thanks a lot

You should ask the carrier what it includes. My guess would be all RIM based services such as email, BBM, Facebook, the BB browser, etc, but only the carrier knows for certain.

As for the amount of data, it just depends on how much you use it. A lot of surfing or map usage will each data quickly. Really hard to tell, but 250 mb isn't all that much.

I don't want to create a new thread so i thought i would just ask my question here?

Say I do get the 250 mb internet and if i try to connect with a wifi connection to browse the web or download apps or even use it to go on BBM (if that's possible). Will that reduce the amount of MB that i have or is using wifi a completely different thing from the internet plan?

Thanks

WiFi usage shouldn't count as part of the cell data allocation. But you MUST have a BB data plan to get any of the RIM services such as email, BBM, BB Browser, etc.

And I also think you have to have BB data for OTA downloads since you can't d/l via WiFi.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong.
