Appworld downloads sloooowwww.....
 

Why does it take so long to download files from Appworld? Doesn't matter if the file is relatively small (<1mb). It's slow whether I use an 8300, 8900 or an 9780. I have 4 or 5 bars of signal strength too. If I try and download a 5 or 10mb app from the Apple Appstore, it's downloaded and installed in less than a minute. Updating an app on my Blackberries takes forever -- reminds me of the dial-up days of the internet! :x

Sounds like a network problem for Rogers. I get some speedy downloads on Sprint. Also, I'm using the 9930 which has a pretty speedy processor. I have found the 9930 does EVERYthing faster than previous models, and by a wide margin.

Maybe it's a network problem at Rogers but it's not a new one. I've had to deal with terrible appworld download speeds for years. My 2 year old Iphone download speeds smoke the BB download speeds on Rogers. No comparison.

One of the few things that I like about App World is that, for me at least, the downloads and install speeds are nice and faaaaaaast...

Now my iPhone 4 on Version? Start download and take a nap.. Maybe it was done by the end of said nap..

Oh, I have the 9900 on T-Mobile..
