Keyboard freeze ups and keys not working on a 7730

Hello, well I got a good battery for this old 7730 and it powers up and makes and recieves calls. So far so good.

The major problem now is that the "0" key, "space" key and "enter" key and the power key (whatever the little light bulb button in the lower right corner is) will not work. The phone powers on automatically when I put the battery in. If you power off the phone using the screen power off selection, the only way to turn it on again is to pull the battery and replace it.

Why are some of the keys not working? I have dissasembled the whole phone and dusted out the keyboard. I have removed the keys and dusted them off. I even carefully peeled the keyboard circut board from the metal housing and have visibly inspected that as well. There is no sign of moisture or physical damage anywhere inside the phone.

Is there a way to fix this, or should I see if I can buy a part online or something? Thanks.

Most of the time, problems with keyboard are due to some sort of physical damage such as moisture or drops. If the device was subjected to moisture and wasn't properly dried, you could be out of luck. There is a FAQ that talks about what to do if a device gets wet if it happened recently.

Since the 7730 is relatively old, not sure how much support(hardware or software) you'll get for it.
