Still waiting for v4.2 for 8700g (T-Mobile)

Should I give up checking the T-Mobile web site twice a day for the 4.2 upgrade? Why would they offer the 4.2 desktop software for the 8700 if they weren't planning on giving us the 4.2 handheld software? Does anyone out there have the definitive answer?

No need to check daily, just keep an eye on this forum, it will be posted post haste once it is available.
The Desktop and Handheld versions are not related in ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Cas the 8100 provided by tmo uses 4.2 os

So what? That has nothing to do with 4.2 for the 8700!

Because 1. Desktop Manager is used by all BB users -- not just 8700g owners and 2. To a degree, the version of DM doesn't need to match the version of handheld software.

Yes T-Mobile will have the definitive answer as to when THEY plan to release the 4.2.x upgrade - it's not just a question of when they have the release from RIM, it's a question of ensuring they've tested it...maybe custom themed..and trained their guys on support calls..

so you need to speak to T-mobile to get a definite answer..

Anyone have their number?

dont to think their will be a update......why ?? when they want to sell 8820 's , with no removable storage on the 8700 the media options are useless. attachment sending is nice, but worth a major update...na .....im gunna get the 8820 and ebay my 8700.............
