Sms

How do I text message someone? When I select on messages, I see selections for sending a MMS and sending a PIN and e-mail, but no SMS. People have sent them to me but I dont receive them. Any help?

You cannot create a SMS on Nextel. You can reply to one, but create.

. . . one way to get around this is to send the message as an email in the following format: mobilenumber@carrier-sms-gateway.... the receipient can then use your email address to reply or send you a message.

Check this out for addressing formats for various carriers....

Hey ZeroG46, would your nick be a reference to a trail at Vernon Valley? I haven't skied there in more than a decade but I'll never forget tumbling all the way down that one after taking an ill-advised dare!

The plan cost is the same but, technically, you are sending an MMS from your BB.
