Villain.

Consider of the source of the "manning hero resolution" is
Quote:

Bob Meola is a commissioner and immediate past chair of the city of Berkeley's Peace and Justice Commission. He is a national committee member of the War Resisters League, member of Courage to Resist Organizing Collective, an organization that supports GI war resisters, and a member of the steering committee of the Bradley Manning Support Network, which raises money for Manning's defense.
'nuff said.

Only in Berkeley.

Convict him. Send him away for life with hard labor. No possibility of parole.

My view is that Manning is likely guilty of things that could and should get him executed.

My view is the the wikileaks people are not in same legal state and an attempt by the US to get them would be a big mistake. Sort of like punishing someone else for your own stupidity.

My view is if anything comes out of the wikileaks disclosures that shows illegal operations on the part of US government employees should be used in a court against them.

My view is that anyone who was involved with Charlie Wilson's War should be executed after a nice trial. Traitors that high up in the food chain should be punished twice as hard. NO QUARTER for them or anyone in the government trying to protect them in the past, present or future.

These are my views and your mileage may vary.

Manning = traitor. Apart from violating God knows how many articles of the UCMJ, his behavior will have far-reaching safety implications for his fellow troops. Say/believe what you like about your country, you don't turn on your brothers. I hope they throw the book at him, and I hope it's the heaviest one they can find.

I honestly think Assange's release of the information falls under the freedom of the press, however. He's in a different situation, and is not bound by the same laws that Manning is.
