Research In Motion to launch touch-screen Blackberry
|
Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)
Hmm. I think I will stick with my buttons. |
I don't know if I'm up for a touch screen blackberry. Alhough it would be tough not to buy it just as another "gadget".
I think Iwould rather have the 9000 |
This is awesome news. As they have picked Verizon, let us hope it is a World-Wide Edition unit like my 8830.

There are some serious BB haters on that link posted above.

Previously owning both an iphone and an HTC (AT&T) Tilt, I can tell you the touchscreen, though sounds better, really is not that great a navigation device in comparison to the trackball. That's why RIM abbandoned it with the 8XXX series.
|
Heck why don't they make this new blackberry with the option of the touchscreen. Leave the buttons and have an option to turn it on if you would like the touch feature.
I prefer the buttons. |

you and me both :) |
Of course nobody really knows what this phone will be. It is just assumed that there will be no keyboard because of the touch screen. They are already making a clam shell so there is nothing beyond what they may do. This could have a slide out keyboard like the Samsung Glyde or some of the other phones out there given the option to use either. Especially with the fact that VZ has a world wide exclusive on it. They already have a lot of phones with both and seem to favor that type of setup. We will just have to wait and see.
