HA BES102.3 move to new machine HA BES10.2.7
 

Hello

We are planning migration of HA BES10.2.3 to new datacenters to new virtualized BES10.2.7 with mirrored SQL. I need an advise for the possible ways of achieving the migration of the users and design.


in my opinion there are 2 ways :
1. Install complete new environment HA BES10.2.7 and create new profiles for the users on the new BES. Reactivate all devices
2. Take temp SRP set on new servers. Backup config DB , move to new SQL and restore. Keep services disabled on new BES. When planned turnoff OLD BES, set old SRP to NEW servers and activate services.

Are those the only possible ways to move the users ?
is there any other option to automate the migration without reactivate devices ?

With the BES migration we plann also Exchange migration , old exchange 2010 to exchange 2016.

Do your SQL part first if your are upgrading or making new ones in VM. Then setup HA in your VM and fail over to new hardware.

You wont need any SRPs for this IIRC

suggestion from Knotty - to HA failover to the new hardware.
How would that work in case we need also to move config database to new SQL servers?
Is there any doc to be used as guide ?

Thanks Knotty, did not see your reply , while made the last post.

SQL we have as prerequisite prior install BB of course.
But how exactly would be moved the config DB to new SQL ?
Backup / Restore , or there is other possibility as well

you can get a trial for 60 users, there is no lab license I have ever heard of

Is the trial for 60 users limited for time.
I mean if the server and service will be available for 90 days only , or something like that?

How I can get the trial license , or trial SRP ?
