Disable annoying links
 
Greetings,

How can I prevent SkimWords from adding shopping links to my posts? For example, the "BlackBerry" link in this post was not inserted by me. It was added after, and points to amazon.com.

Don't use malware like SkimWords.

I don't think you can prevent it, it's controlled by the forum software.

If I can't prevent it, can I make my links look different from the shopping links?

You could try the Chrome plugin Adblock Plus, but mostly that just blocks popups and page ads.

Doesn't work. I have AB installed and still see those fabricated links show up from time to time. Honestly, I don't even notice them that much.

Yea I think the forum owner has to turn them off. It's a VB forum plugin
