BBM problem

Hey everyone, I am hoping one of you might be able to help me, I am a fairly new user with a blackberry, had it since this past November and I am now starting to have problems with it.

It seems that I can't send or recieve bbm messages at all, is there something that I have to do to fix it. instead of getting a D for delivery I have a square clock that shows, and I can't send anything and no one can send me anything...

Do you have an ACTIVE BlackBerry Data Plan?

Are your other data features such as the BlackBerry Browser and email working properly over the carrier network?

Have you done a battery pull?
