This new edition from Seidio adds to their line of PDA/Blackberry carrying solutions and accessories. The holster was shipped in a bubble-wrapped protective package via USPS.

The holster is made of impact-resistant, high quality plastic and features a 180-degree, click-lock swivel belt clip. This allows the holster to be worn in a vertical or horizontal position. The inside of the holster is felt lined so the 7130 screen will not be scratched (placed face in). There is a sleeper magnet built into the holster to provide the desired sleeper function renown by the Blackberry design.

A unique innovation is the spring-loaded, rubber tipped clip at the top of the holster. It provides easy access and removal of the 7130 while protecting it from scratches during normal usage. The spring allows the clip to raise up enough to slip the top of the 7130 into proper position, then lower into place to lock the 7130 firmly in the holster. There is a rubber skin at the underside of the top clip that prevents the 7130e from being scratched.

Another well engineered design of the holster is the swivel belt clip. When you open the clip you notice a metal ring that holds the clip in place. This is different from other manufacturers who use an all plastic design. Not only does this metal ring provide a secure fixture point, it also allowed for a very smooth, non-binding swivel operation.

The belt clip opens wide enough to affix the holster to even the thickest of belts. However, even with thinner belts, I found the holster would stay in place with little side movement. This is important when rotating the case from vertical to horizontal and back.

The open design of the case provided full access to the side controls. So battery charging, USB syncing and tethering can be performed without removing the 7130 from the holster. One important feature I found was the rear speaker is not covered like other cases/holsters. Ringtones and alert sounds were heard clearly even when wearing a jacket or coat.

Pros:
Well designed and engineered, perfect fit, vertical/horizontal orientation, easy one hand operation, sleeper function.

Can't wait for mine to arrive. I think we ordered 4 of them to test out.

Have had mine for a week. A MUST HAVE FOR ALL 7100's

This sounds like a fantastic holster for the 7130. Has anyone tried it with the 7100g or has Sedio announced versions for all of the 7100 models?

Clip works great! You can feel the vibrate again. Why would BlackBerry stop producing holsters like this?

How long did it take to get it from the time you ordered it? I ordered mine yesterday.

order# 41235

I just saw that it is in process. I wasn't upset or anything, I am just tired of this stock case (even though I've only had it for 2 1/2 days.). Just looking forward to getting it. Thanks.

To add to the review. I have had the case for two days and am really enjoying the ease of use. I can get the BB out with one hand and replace it into the holder very securely and easily. Today I tested it "in action" and it performed well.

I have experienced a problem with the small rubber bumper on the latch coming out of its slot. I have replaced it by sliding it back in place, but it still wants to pop out. Anyone else seen this?

Yeah, mine kept coming out. I sent a message to Seidio, they told me to glue it in (I wasn't thrilled about that), but before I could, it was GONE!! The rubber piece sticks to the case and is pulled out when removing the BB. Anyway, I put a felt "dot" on the underside of the top part of the clip and it works fine. Holds the phone snug. Good luck.

hmmm - I've had my case for a couple weeks now - no problems with that rubber bumper at all.... I've had an issue with the sleeper function, and they're sending me a new holster - but no issues with the rubber bumper at all. I'll let you know about the new one i get - hopefully I don't have that issue... ::fingers crossed::

Mine has disappeared as well. I will try the "felt dot" trick. Thanks for the tip.

I actually ordered one earlier in the day as well.. Part of the reason was what I read here, but the biggest was that it appears that David Chang from Seidio is very active on the forum.
