Blackberry Curve on ATT's website...well sort of

Cingular Business - Blackberry Curve

Definitely not a good sign for it being released today.

Spiffyis5150 05-24-2007 10:01 AM

True, but good news nonetheless. I'd rather not wait until June 13th. I'm hoping next week although tomorrow would be just fine for me. (y)

I'm confused... the description states that it has TeleNav Maps for text driving direction.... so why would they disable GPS yet install TeleNav's maps and not BB Maps...

Pizzle 05-24-2007 10:28 AM

The page is likely still being "tweaked"...there's not even a link to the "sign up to know when it comes out" thing.

When they did this with the 8800, it was about another week or so before the handheld was released.

Actually, there is now. I just signed up for notification.

I just signed up to and it said this afterward:

Your email address was successfully submitted. Watch your inbox for updates about the launch of the Option GT Max 3.6 Express.

Any ideas what that might be??

Eric

Yea, mine did that too. As an FYI, that's the HSPDA Express card for laptops.

because its compatible with BT GPS receivers.... which cingular sells and supports.

rvashko 05-24-2007 11:40 AM

Well, perhaps BG was half-right about the 24th/25th.

Not available, but at least officially with the "coming soon" status on AT&T.

visi0n 05-24-2007 11:43 AM

:( i guess no new toy for the weekend

BB4Life 05-24-2007 11:55 AM

i doesn't make any sense for them to put it on the website for notifications to go out today and release it tomorrow..maybe it will be out in another week or even two...we'll just have to wait :)

The 8100 also has Telenav and BB Maps

Telenav doesn't have anything to do with a separate GPS. It uses that assisted service from the cell towers. I've used the Telenav program on my 8100 (which also has no GPS like the Curve).

Last I heard, the Curve will be out around the 30th.

looks more like it will be out at the end of the month rather than tomorrow's memorial day weekend release as they just posted a preview of it on the business site....
