Unable to enter voicemail number
Hi
I am trying to enter my voicemail number and password into my Q10 so that going forward, I just have to press and hold 1 and it dials my voicemail and enters my password. I was able to do this when I had the Bold. To do this on the Q10, you press the phone icon on the homepage, slide down form the top of the screen to get to the settings icon, and select voicemail. There is an field, "Access Number" where you should enter your number. There is also a field for password. On my Q10, the "Access Field" is greyed out and will not allow me enter a number. How can I change this? The password field and visual voicemail field work just fine. Thanks. |
Re: Unable to enter voicemail number
There is no one touch speed dial on the Q10. It will be coming in a future release.

There is speed dial on the Q10. I just configured all of mine, tested and it works. Now when I need to call my significant other, I click on the phone icon on the home screen, press and hold the letter "O", and it dials her number. I have done this several times already. |
Re: Unable to enter voicemail number
Let me add that whereas on the old BBs you could use speed dial from the home page by press and holding any letter configured, in BB10, you have to be on the phone page, then hold down any letter configured.

What version of the OS are you running?

You have to be on the keypad menu of the phone screen. (not the contact or history screens)

Re: Unable to enter voicemail number
What NJBlackBerry is talking about is true speed dialing - one touch dialing - from the home screen like with BB7 models. That's what everybody is waiting for. The way they have it now on BB10 there's not much difference from simply going into your contacts app and pulling up an individual contact to call.

Re: Unable to enter voicemail number
I use an App called AtHome and put the most important contacts on the home screen.
And yes, their version of Speed Dialing is in 4543, but not in any carrier pushed versions. |
