Problem-Activation on unlocked phone.
 

Hi,

I recently purchased an unlocked Verizon Blackberry 9630 running OS v4.7.1.61.

To confirm the unlock status, I went to Options>Advanced Option>SIM, it shows "SIM Card: Security Disabled" .And when typed M E P D, the entry "Network" it shows "Inactive". It also shows an id for the SIM.

Now I am using this handset with Reliance network in India. The phone shows edge in small instead of EDGE. The host routing table is all empty and "Register Now" does no good. The main screen shows "Activation Required" instead of my network. When I call *228 it is unable to connect.

How do I activate this unlocked handset on Reliacne network?

Just for info (if useful): When I dial # # 000000 it shows my no. as 000 000 5051 insted of my actual no.

Please Help.
