Master reset
Hi . . .
I have read the user guide from cover to cover, but cannot find anywhere that describes how to do a "Master" or "Hard" reset. Can someone give me a clue? I am using a 7280. -- Patrick Long, E-mail: <patrick.long@msc.on.ca> Cell: +1.905.718.5344 Skype: Kambamba |
Be more specific what are you wanting to accomplish, why, what model BB do you have? More information is needed to get you an answer.

I have a Blackberry 7280 from Rogers (Canada)
I want to be able to restore the Address Book to zero contacts without having to go in and delete more than 600 one by one. Then I would be able to set up the 7280 "as if new". -- Patrick Long, E-mail: <patrick.long@msc.on.ca> Cell: +1.905.718.5344 Skype: Kambamba |
My clue is, POST IN THE PROPER SECTION!!

oh come on. Be nice. Technically they are a new member and they did post in the new member forum.
But I do believe the new member forum is for introductions only. Any questions should be posted in the general blackberry discussion area |

Depends on what you are trying to accomplish
complete wipe : go into Options icons (wrench), security, open the menu and you will see "Wipe Handheld" -> this removes all users information and some service books "Master Radio Reset" for network : go into Options icons (wrench), Security, open the menu and you will see "Master Radio Reset" -> this resets the carrier network connection, used for solving connectivity issues with the carrier |
Fkewl - good information, but not 100% complete.
Wipe Handheld is only on the latest version of the OS. I believe v3.8 and lower do NOT have that. Master Radio Reset is for Nextel/iDen handsets only. |
