Remote Desktop Mgr. question

Can I remotly install Desktop Mgr. to my office PC and then configure it with my Outlook 2003? Or does the DM require that the 8830 be connected via USB the first time for a sync? I am hoping that it will push my contacts, Cal, and task to my 8830.

Thanks

it wont push anything unless you are connected via bluetooth, USB, or BES

So when I install DM I should chose the BES/redirector option? Then it will push or sync automatically?

Sith_Apprentice 01-19-2008 10:12 PM

only if you have your device activated with a BES. Just Installing DM with those options doesnt give you a BES. Other than that a direct connection via bluetooth or USB will allow contacts tasks and calendar entries to sync

Sorry for another nubie question but I have not activated my phone yet (given to me yesterday) so if I activate as BES what is the difference? Will it cost more or will I be missing out of something?

usually activating with a BES will be through your company. let me find the link for explaining bes vs bis

Oh man, I thought it would do like my Moto Q does when I make a change to contact or something in Outlook my phone would reflect the same change with out being connect by USB or bluetooth.
