ETP.DAT Files getting sent to BB

I currently have my home email redirect to the BB 8700c using road runner on a pop3 server. Email was getting sent just fine. Then I tried to setup my work email which is on MS Exchange Server. Thats when I started to get emails from network admin @ blackberry containing ETP.DAT files. So I removed work email, but still getting those emails. And have not had any luck setting up work email. Can anyone help explain to me what these emails pertain to and is it possible to stop them. Thanks alot

you installed desktop redirector. in order fo this to work with our work account it needs to always be running and connected to the internet.

if your not going you need to remove the 2 destkop service books from the handheld and modify desktop manager to not have redirector installed

if you want to get your work account to go to your handheld you have the following options:

1) have your IT enable POP or IMAP access and add the count the same way you did for your road runner account
2) if you have Outlook Web Access you can add your account using those settings
3) you can install mail connector - except like redirecto it needs to always be running and connected to the internet
4) get your IT to set up a server side forwrding rule and forward your email to your BIS address

hope this helps

Thank you!! I was not aware that the redirector software had to be running. That would explain alot. I will follow those tips for work email. Now things seem to be running more smoothly. Thanks again!
