Hey guys this is for Cingular pearl owners only :

Can you all tell me about the data plans, what I mean is the best one and the way that you think the service is on the Pearl. I have a friend thats interested in getting a Pearl, but I have T-Mobile and I can't help that much but I know that some of you can.

I have the Red Pearl on Cingular and have the best service I have ever had with a phone from them. We are in a medium sized city and we joke because you can't drive across the middle of town without dropping a call, but I did it the first day I had my Pearl I was so excited! As far as the data plans, I have the Unlimited Personal Plan. It is $29.99 because I I also have a voice plan with it. I do not need the BES so I went with this one. So far so good, I haven't had problems with connection or speed. If your friend texts as well, he may want to look at the Unlimited Plus it add 1500 text message to the account. Pretty much your only option for BIS w/ cingy is the BB Unlimited Data Plan, which is great but a tad pricey, i think its $30/mo. No texts though. For text messages you can get 200 for 4.99, 1000 for 9.99, or 3000 for 19.99, i think they may have an unlimited text plan now too, but im not sure. Also if a tethered plan is need the unlimited is 79.99/mo

I am with the US military, and get 19% off...but initially pay $59.99 for 900 rollover minutes and $29.99 for the unlimited BB plan...that gives me all data (web, email, etc.)...everything but SMS/MMS...that's a separate add-on. I wouldn't go with anything BUT the unlimited plan--especially if you do a bunch of emailing...I just don't feel like tracking KBs every month. I only text my girlfriend, but we text the heck out of each other--and she's also on AT&T, so I got the mobile-to-mobile texting, which is unlimited to all other AT&T members...SMS or MMS...pretty good deal. I have the 39.99 plan Blackberry plan, unlimited data and 1,000 free text ( anyway you want to sent them ). I would rather have the BB plan b/c if you just have the regular Cing unlimited data plan it will say " Searching for wireless network " which annoyed the hell out of me, so I switched to BB plan. It would make sense to have the BB plan b/c after all, it is a BB. LOL.

Just so you know, Cingular changed it from 1000 to 1500 automatically for us :)

I have the unlimited bb connect for mine which is $44.99 but it doesn't include text so I have the unlimited text for $19.99

yea.. its called the blackberry personal max plan. you have to ask for it by name since they dont have it online or anything. i added it to my plan using the online tech help so you could either do that or just call customer service.
