Question about Contacts from Outlook
I have all my numbers stored in Outlook such as (111) 111-1111 for example. However, when they transfer to the phone they appear as 111111111, any reason why?

I don't know the answer offhand--gonna look into it--but when I sync to Outlook the (123)456-7890 format is transferred to the BB.
|
Yea, exactly! I have even done resets to the phone and it's the same problem.

Nothing on this?

I had the problem as well. If they are already stored in your phone as 1111111111 then they will not change with a sync to (111)111-1111. I had to actually clear all my contacts off my BB then resync it to outlook and it worked.

bmw, try this:
if you delete an entry in your BB whch has the 1111111111 format, which has the identical entry in Outlook as (111)111-1111 format, and sync your BB, will the good format from Outlook transfer to the BB? Try that and see. If it works. And if it does... clear your entire BB address book, and resync all contacts from Outlook to the BB. I cleared everything and did a resync and it worked perfectly, thanks!

excellent. I know that doesn't explain "why", and I believe I have read on here a "why" that error pops up, I just only remembered the fix.
