AT&T Blackberry Service Down?? (South FL)

Hello:

Since last night (Sat. Nov 6, 2010 @ 6:30pm (est) ) I have been having problems with my blackberry e-mails, facebook, and even accessing CNN via
the icon on my BB.

I'm in South Florida (Ft. Lauderdale / Tamarac area)

Anyone else having these issues??

If I connect via WiFi from home no problem.

If I turn off WiFi, I get nothing.

Have you tried a battery pull?

What is the signal strength?

Called the carrier yet?

So far I have done the following:

Battery Pull

Resend the Service Books

Signal Strength = 5 bars

Called AT&T, they said it was a problem with a cell tower (that was yesterday), but I believe it to be something else, because it happened in other cities in Broward while I was driving.

Could be if that is the primary tower for that area.

I live in SFL but with VZW. My AT&T friends are not noticing any issues

I called a few people I know in Florida in your area and none have had problems.

PROBLEM SOLVED:

I called AT&T support again and was transfered to Level 2 support.

The issue at had was the following:

Blackberry Torch 9800

OS Version 6.0.0.141

There seems to be a bug in this version software in which there is a disconnect
of Blackberry services when the device switches between the mobile netowrk and
a WiFi network.

Once it switches to the WiFi network it is unable to switch back to the mobile network, thus the Blackberry 9800 inability to access BIS or BES.

To solve this problem, you need to wipe the Blackberry Torch by going to:

1. Options
2. Security
3. Security Wipe
4. Wipe the Emails, Contacts, etc...

Once this is done, the Blackberry Torch 9800 will function normally.

If you disable the networks then only enable the Mobile Network, that should of fixed your issue.
