GPS apps not functioning
 

:bb: hi, tried to download several GPS Google apps from BB World, but they are almost useless! they are only asking for rating, but no actual function ! any advice? thanks

Do you have a BlackBerry data plan on your line? Not just data, but the data service specific for BBOS devices?

Hi aiharkness, thank you for the reply; i have a data plan with Telestra, Australia, but I don't know about the 'data service for BBOS devices'! I have a Q 10 and everything in it is working fine, GPS is great!

BB10 devices use regular data. BBOS devices require a special data service, which is typically BIS for consumers. BIS is not in addition to but rather in place of the generic carrier data service.

All BlackBerry apps and even many third-party apps on BBOS devices require BlackBerry data services.
