radio
hey i was simply wondering if there is a radio type thing for the blackberry?;-)
You can try RadioBee.
can i download it ota?
I have had no luck with Radio Bee, I have had success with xPlayer, and moodio.fm. Moodio is my app of choice since there is no actual app installed on the phone and saves space. Moodio has also been the service I have had the most success with.
Also, having OS 4.5.x is really important to having success, especially with Moodio as it uses the native Media Player to stream. |
I have also been successful streaming radio through Moodio. And, as has been mentioned, there's no app that needs to be installed.

how do i know which os version i have?

I get unsupported media type: application/sdp
i got unsupported as well
Moodio will only work with 4.5. Unless your BB is very new or you've installed it yourself, you don't have it.
The xPlayer beta discussed in the Aftermarket Software forum has Internet Radio capabilities. It's still a beta so there are a few twitches, but it's pretty good. |
Is there a way i can upgrade my blackberry from 4.2 to 4.5?
Mostly wait until your carrier makes the upgrade available. Other options may or may not work for you, and you may lose features depending on carrier (e.g. I believe I've heard that UMA isn't working in the 8320 4.5 firmwares available).
