Yep.. That's why this auction is so hilarious. It's also frustrating because eBay is all over iPhone auctions like a fat kid on a cupcake, but BB auctions are all over the place.

What little credibility they had just went right out the window.

Ya somebody is definately getting hosed on this one.

I don't buy it either if he said no, than it's most likely fake.

I wonder if it's a stolen unit or test unit that will go belly up when RIM blocks it's PIN. He does seem to have decent feedback selling other BBs. Makes ya wonder.

You can report it by clicking the link at the bottom of ther auction. I imagine the more reports they get the more likely they are to pull it. Not sure it's a fake though... why would someone who makes a business of selling BBs decide to do a fake? Stolen from RIM I can believe.

Plus... weren't the reports that the Storm was Verizon but they were releasing the Thunder to Rogers and Vodofone? Which is of course GSM.

Already done Cory, but like I said before, eBay doesn't really care unless it says iPhone in the title.

To clarify the Storm does have a GSM radio and SIM card. Primary network is CMDA when in the US.

It does NOT say Storm, it says Thunder. The Thunder(9500) IS a GSM device.

RUMORED device... there have been nothing substantial about the thunder... only rumors...

Might be a rumor for you, I've seen them so I know better. But until 2 days ago the Storm was a "rumor". But regardless the 9500 is GSM. "Rumor" or not.

Regardless of weather it's real or not... How can someone or even several someones drive the bidding up to $4K for a BB.

Look at the list of bidders... It's BS. If you believe this is real (whether it be VZW or VODA), your pullin' your own chain.
