New email notification, but can't read until after reboot
 

So I get a new email, and the notification shows up in the status bar on the top of the screen. Then I go into my inbox and there aren't any new emails.

If I reboot or reload my phone, then I can see them perfectly fine.

I haven't quite figured out if there is a pattern to this yet, seeing as sometimes they show and sometimes they don't.


I have a 9500 on ATT. I run 4.7.0.173 from Vodaphone.
I'm not sure that it matters, but I have the Appleberry Dark skin loaded too.

Did you recently transfer information to your device from another Blackberry?

I had a similar problem with a customer that came in with a BB Tour. We upgraded him and transfered all his information from his old 8703e. I believe we fixed the issue by clearing the Message Database in the phone. Something didn't seem to transfer right and I believe the databases got corrupted.

Make sure you have everything backed up
--Try clearing the message database first (Desktop Manager > Backup & Restore > Advanced > Select Messages > Press Clear Button )
--If that doesn't work try wiping the device, do not restore data for 24 hours and see if problem persists.

Yeah. Still having issues.

So I guess that this is happening with my SMS messages too.

when I reboot my phone, I get an error message saying:
Uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException

Check your third party applications maybe one of them needs an upgrade to a storm version but I have this problem with text messages where I can't open it until I reboot which pretty horrible since this thing takes over 5 minutes to reboot

Anyone ever find a resolution to this issue?
