the top buttons on my blackberry pearl 1200 wont work !
 

Last night they just stopped for no reason all the number buttons work and the red button to hang up a phone call. My track ball will move up and down but when I press it in it wont work the green call button won work and the blackberry symbol wont work. Ive re started my phone so many times but it still stays the same. I havnt got it under and insurance and would like to avoid paying for it to be fixed. anyone had the same problem? I need it to work as my boyfriend is travling down today and I need it to communicate with him while travling but I cant eve pick up a phone call. Thanks!:-( (also the arrow button wont work)

Hmmmm. Did you get any moisture in the phone? Humidity?

Pearl 1200? hmmm....

But it does sound like a moisture problem. Even in a bathroom during a hot steamy show will do it.

Remove the battery now, leave the device in a bag of dry rice for 3-5 days. Do NOT replace the battery each day to see if it works. Be patient, leave it.
