BB Dev Mgr only recognizes phone once

BB 9000
App Version v4.5.0.167
BB DM 4.6
BB Device Driver 4.1.04
XP 2002 SP3
Direct USB connection.

Sorry if this answer is already in the forum, couldn't find it.

Am trying to download pics and video from BB to PC.
The PC Device Manager/USB controller recognizes the Blackberry Smartphone.
When I first start BB DM, it also recognizes the phone and displays phone PIN. The phone display also changes to PC and phone graphic.
In BB DM, I startup Media Manager (Roxio MM starts).
However, in My Media Library, Pictures and Video show 0 files, 0 GB used.
When I click on Manage Pictures/Manage Video, the Pictures/Video directory displays the message "This View produced no results".
When I close Media Library, DM changes the Device connected (PIN): to 'none'. The phone display still shows the PC/Phone graphic.
I've reinstalled the driver and tried DM 5, with no luck.
Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

So, any further ideas?

Seeing that my content isnt encrypted by content protection, any other ideas to get BB DM to locate my pics and video files?
thanks

Where is the media manager looking for the files?
Our work system maps several network drives, which causes problems for us from time to time. One of our bosses added a card reader, and the Blackberry SD card was assigned a different drive letter. Media Manager then would not find the card to display the files.
Just one this I came across, not sure if it will help you.
