Blackberry 8100 Peal button doesn't function

Hi, I have a Blackberry 8100 Pearl and the Pearl has stopped working (although it still scrolls) so I can't view text messages or my phonebook. Does anyone know of key shortcuts so I can still access these and not have to buy a new phone or any tips to get this working again? Thanks!

Did it get wet? Did you drop it? Did you load any Apps? Change anything?
You can try reloading the OS to see if itxxx8217;s just a corrupted OS. Shortcuts wont help.
