From Curve to Torch BUT..........
 

So I received the Torch as a gift from my cousin, who is visiting from the UK. I was very excited to upgrade from the Curve, the only problem is that it is locked. I got the IMEI using the *#06# command, downloaded the MEP Reader, got the MEP # But when I requested an unlock code from one of the unlockers, I was told that the MEP code that I provided does not exist, or at least the last digit was different.
Am I doing anything wrong? And If so, can anyone suggest a different sequence of commands that I could follow?

Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.
