OS: 9700 6.0.0.2718/6.0.0.615 (All Language)

BlackBerry Handheld Software for the 9700
This can be loaded to any carrier's device by following the instructions below.

Package Version: 6.0.0.2718
consisting of:
Applications: 6.0.0.615
Software Platform: 6.6.0.223
File name: 9700AllLang_PBr6.0.0_rel2718_PL6.6.0.223_A6.0.0.61 5_Bell_Mobility_Inc.exe
File Size: 173.44MB

Note: The Software Platform and Applications version numbers can be found under Options-About screen on the handheld.

Download here: https://swdownloads.blackberry.com/D...FB0B00F0AC9D3F

Instructions for installing on ANY carrier's 9700:
1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml." Vista/Win7 users: In the apploader folder, simply click on "Compatibility files" to see the actual Vendor.xml file. Once you've got that - simply delete the vendor.xml file there (even if you've deleted or think you've deleted it in the folder previously) and voila, it will allow you to update to the newly installed OS!
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a black "BlackBerry" screen with a status bar for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization."
If, for some reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to the PC again and run Loader.exe again, and it should load the OS to the device.

Follow the instructions in the first post. Then search the forums if you have problems. That's what I did and it was fine. Make sure you have a backup of your data first!!!

So far so good... Better than 576 in as much as they have fixed the bug with the calendar notification icon when handset is locked... :)

I was having problems until I did a PC reboot. Amazing what issues rebooting fixes, even when there's no logical cause for a particular issue. I'll give this a good workout once it's back in business. Thanks for the link!

The user of the blackberry has not reported any issues with the new operating system. (I just manage the blackberry). He has reported a faster response time and that the "blackberry seems to be working better".

I have a whole bunch, too many to list. But only few are running in the background besides core aps: Google Voice, Epocrates, and Lookout.

Hi!

I've just updated my Bold from .448 to .615

I have got 2 problems:

1.: I can't use within the browser the address bar to search in Google. The browser tries to open a webpage. Before i just typed something in that bar and I could search on Google.

2.: When I open certain webpages, I just get a blank page. But the link are in the page. So I just have to click on a link and the new page will open. I want it to open immediately.

Thanx in advance for ur help
