9850 + OS 7.1 = Hotspot
Anyone try this out yet? I have a test device at work that I'm currently upgrading to 7.1 and have added the hotspot to so I can try it out.
Would be nice if it worked well so maybe we can dump some of the MiFi's our users have that they use infrequently. |
Re: 9850 + OS 7.1 = Hotspot
I'm guessing no news is bad news in this case. Any updates?
Happy hollidays. |

It works.....but isn't horribly fast, at least with Sprint. Probably ok for basic web browsing, but nothing heavy duty.

Re: 9850 + OS 7.1 = Hotspot
I know it isn't the same carrier/model/OS, but I stopped using 7.1 on my 9900 (on T-Mobile). You need a Hotspot add-on ($20/month) and I think I pay them more than enough money know. Something to look at next year. Also, the WiFi dialing was blocked for outbound calls (an "issue" per my friends at T-mobile). I'll wait for the released version.
Who am I kidding. The next leak will go on. I was running 7.1.0.115 but I'm back onto 7.0.whoknows. Merry Christmas everyone. |
