8300 ringtones and themes

Does anyone know of a good source for ringtones and themes for the 8300? Apparently, it can't use .adp files and I have no memory card as of yet in order to transfer mp3s from my PC (which I'm still not sure can be used as a ringtone anyway).

you can use mp3s as ringtones, and you dont need to have a memory card. when you open media manager from the blackberry desktop software, just choose to transfer mp3s from your computer directly to the device memory.

Moved to the Media Center section.

Malibu,

I tried this, but when I connected my device to my PC and used the desktop software, there was no Media Manager option to be found....there were three icons listed...don't recall the names of each, but for instance one was the backup device data.

I posed this question elsewhere, but why am I not seeing the Media Manager???

You either installed the version without the media manager (it is a 50 M file vs. the one with Media Manager which is a 240 MB file) or you upgraded the desktop software...

You have to get the larger install file, uninstall the desktop software, then reinstall and reboot - then it shows up ... I just went through the same thing myself!

are there any themes for the curve yet? or can themes from another model be used?

Perfect Storm 07-02-2007 04:06 PM

8700 themes made in theme builder may or may not work, results vary
That's all there is so far

hmmm, looking for some themes...for the curve...well maybe just the incoming call pic and confirm delete box? Anyone know how to?
thanks
ben
