saskatel blackberry help

I recently bought a blackberry 8703e that was originally on a saskatel network. I am using it on the mts network which is suppose to work. everything works fine but i can not recieve data anymore. I was told the reason for this is becuase the blackberry runs saskatel software where as i need to run mts software. I am new to blackberrys so I hae no idea if this is something someone could fix or get fixed. any help would be appreciated. thanks a lot

As a user can install the OS from any carrier so long as it is for their model blackberry, what you were told is not correct. I would trouble shoot on the loss of data service (you say it worked at one time, right?)

ADDED: Afterthought: Did you ever have data service working on the new carrier? I better shut up because I think I'm out on a limb here regarding CDMA carriers and another carrier's hardware. I'll defer to others. Ignore me.
