another complaint: If my phone is off and i receive a text message...when i turn phone on and i receive said text message it does not tell me when it was originally sent, only when my phone received it......even the first cell phones were able to give me this info.

Also, time zone change: wtf do i have to manually change on my own when all other cell phones in existence do it automatically?

for such a smart phone this thing sucks

Moving to rants and raves.
The BlackBerry is clearly not for you, is it.

There's a reason for this: the Blackberry is a business device, and as such, you might not want your time zone to automatically change when travelling.

Now, an option on the device for you to change that behavior might be a worthwhile request - maybe a check box along the lines of: "Automatically choose Time Zone:" <YES><NO>?

A BlackBerry is a computer first, and a phone second.

I see this time and time again ... A BLACKBERRY IS NOT A PHONE.

Lets all repeat this together ... A BLACKBERRY IS NOT A PHONE.

A BLACKBERRY IS A MOBILE COMPUTING DEVICE ... that happens to use a carrier's network to access the Internet. Would you want your laptop automatically updating time zones when you move locations?

actually pre smart phones, and when phones went digital, you had to adjust the time, this was in the 90's if you went from nyc to vegas, the phone never updated it self. i dont remeber when this added, but overall, they nerver auto updated, some have this function others dont.

as for text msg's it from carrier to carrier and phone to phone, look on the bright side, old school or tdma phones never got text msg if they were out of coverage or off during the texting. when they came on the network.
