Default HTC Touch versus BB8130 Pearl - 04-21-2008, 12:19 PM

I need someones honest opinion on this matter. I had an HTC Touch phone for about 3 months before and I was convinced by my supplier to upgrade to a Black Berry Pearl.
I am now sorry I did. The reason I purchased the Touch phone was so that I could combine my cell phone and my PDA into one unit, and it did that job woderfully!!
The Blackberry Pearl does a horrible job of handling Word, excel, etc, documents. I can't save documents directly to the media card and have been told that I need to email them to my self!! Also I can't save the documents from a email to my media card. I have been able to open very few video or audio files in my email and I cannot save them to a media card.

I looked at downloading some third party software to help the BB deal with these problems but the software is far from user friendly!

Question: Is a "windows moblile device" better for users who need this capability than a Pearl?

for editing/saving documents E-Office does a good job. Also the BlackBerry is going to be using Documents to Go by Dataviz as part of upcoming OS releases. You need to find the device that does what you need, regardless of name. The BlackBerry is more stable and handles email better than any device on the market, but it does have limitations.

What about saving documents/files to a media card from an email? What about saving documents to the media card via desktop and then opening later? Can't do that right now. Majority of audio and video email I cannot open on my pearl.
