Thumbs down Help Me Get Out of T-Mobile Contract!!!! - 04-27-2008, 02:34 PM

Anyone have any suggestions on how I can get out of my T-Mobile contract with the ETF's??? I am sick and tired of being somewhere with my friends and family, who have AT&T, and watch them just talk away on their cell phones while my phone signal says "SOS" - NO SIGNAL!!

T-Mobile says they do not have agreement with AT&T in some areas to use their network....uhhhh! Not once has my phone ever utilized the AT&T network when it is looking for service! I am thinking they do not have an agreement at all!!

Any suggestions??

Thanks

And it will never try to use AT&T when there is a T-Mobile network present. Only in areas where T-Mobile has NO network.

Have you tried replacing your BlackBerry?

That is what I am talking about......whenever T-Mobile network is not available. But, this has happened to me with both the Pearl and the Curve that I have right now!

They do have a roaming agreement with AT&T for *part* of AT&Ts network. I have roamed many times off of AT&T. If you do not have service talk to the carrier about it.

Wirelessly posted

I have talked to them about it and they give me this mumbo jumbo about network agreements yadda yadda yadda! It is just starting to become more noticeable.

go to t-mobile.com and do a coverage check on the locations where you live, work, and play. if the coverage for those areas do not meet your standards, then swtich. it is difficult to to end a contract without having to pay the termination fee, i believe t-mobile's is $200.

If you do decide to terminate, be sure to have your new carrier do it for you since they can transfer your current phone number on to their network. They actually won't do it for you, but a new contract with a new carrier using the same number will automatically terminate your previous one.

GOOD LUCK!!!

When you turn on your phone, does it return the favor? Welcome to BlackBerry!

Pay the EFT and tell T-Mo GOODBYE!

I just paid $800 in EFT's and it was well worth it so they never see another cent from me again....
