I am really put out with the Blackberry Thunder being a litetime Verizon exclusive -

I do not at all like this new trend of making phones carrier exclusives. I would never for any reason be a Verizon customer as their service is quite expensive. I am very happy with T-Mobile.
That said, I really, really want the Blackberry Thunder.
What will end up happening is that I'll stay with T-Mobile and get a Thunder/iPhone workalike from someone else.
Blackberry, you're well on your way to losing a customer.

You have to be kidding. VZW gets virtually every new RIM device last, and about a year after initial release usually. Are you upset for every Verizon customer that would have liked a Curve last June?
Haven't carrier exclusive phones been popping up for quite some time? Not that I'd ever be interested in one, but Samsung has a phone called the Sync. It's only available for AT&T. I believe. There are others, but I just can't think of them. So, this BB and iPhone exclusivity thing has actually been going on for quite some time. It's just that the devices have been somewhat forgettable, so no one paid attention.
Does anyone here intend on buying this touch screen when it comes out?
Not likely. I can do almost everything I need to do on the device with one hand. I like that. No gripes with Verizon here. With the last carrier I had before VZW, I got no reception at my home.
