I understand that there are certain ways things are done...

I understand that I am not a "moderator" and that this site is a free and wonderfully useful utility and forum for all BlackBerry users in the world, but I'm calling foul today.

I posted a thread earlier this morning detailing the announcement of Google Maps with Voice Search.

And then my thread gets closed with a link to the beta section about said app.

I was apologetic and understanding...

Then I notice this BlackBerryNEWS article.

I'm sorry if I'm stepping on toes, but it would have been nice if I didn't have my thread closed or at the least if someone had thanked me (via PM even) for the update...

Again, I'm sorry for ranting...

I just feel a bit slighted...

Someone (I believe) had already posted a thread, it was running, and yours closed in deference to it. That is not such a big deal is it? Later today, another user, started another thread on the same... it was closed as well.

The BBNews article is a totally different animal... Posts there are scheduled and it could have been written and posted hours before.

You're not stepping on toes, we can take honest criticism, although I don't know who closed your thread.
