Thumbs up Bold is Really Nice.... - 11-29-2008, 08:26 PM

Out of boredom and curiosity, I went into an At&t store to check out the Bold. I have to say, what I nice BB!! I was thinking the phone would be big and heavy which was the opposite.

I am out of contract with Tmo and was VERY tempted to pull the trigger and get the Bold. I love my curve and Tmo for that matter but been anxious to get a new phone and the 8900 may be a few more months of a wait...

Geez, decisions, decisions

Funny you say that, because I felt the same way. I'm still leery of buying the thing. Keep hearing stories of AT&T's hinky 3G network. I'll probably just get the Javelin when it comes out.

I have nothing but exemplary service from 3G. I have read of some who have had issues, which seem to more in the SF and LA areas of CA.
I know one of the mods here had 3G issues (losing iot too often) too, until he upgraded to a higher OS.

The spped is awesome.

In NJ, their 3G is outstanding. Generally no issues with dropped calls or flaky service anywhere I've been with the Bold. I pretty much go throughout the state and with the exception of the Pine Barrens, service has been excellent.

That's good news. Thanks for the info! Maybe I'll reconsider the Bold.

Me too, not sure yet though. I may get an unlocked Javelin, waiting on pricing this week...
