Default Touch Screen Bold - 12-06-2008, 10:07 PM

I came from an iPhone 3G back to the Bold (I used a BlackBerry for many years before the iPhone)

I don't how many times I have gone and toched the email icon on the screen to launch the application.

Got me thinking. RIM should release a touchscreen Bold, full keyboard with a touchscreen for navigation except typing.

This would rock!!!!

There was a rumor floating around about this. The BlackBerry Magnum. If you do a search you might find something on it.

I don't think (and I'm not just guessing) we'll see that any time soon.

I think it's much more likely the next announcements will involve shifting the radios around so that the current run of handsets (Bold, Storm, Flip, Javelin) will come out in new models for other carriers. And, of course, the really big news when each one starts being available in other colors.

If anybody's going to do any UI modifications, I'd want to see the Storm camera in the Bold & the Bold trackball in the Storm.

I'd also like to see even more handset memory, with a much larger allocation for applications - plous some scheme for archiving mail to the SD card & for using the SD card to keep a library of swappable "near-line" applications at hand.
