Default I regret getting a BlackBerry 8820 - 05-08-2009, 11:56 PM

it's the dumbest, most confusing pos ever.

the app store is lame and cheesy looking, unlike apple's.

i wanted to install a theme; read the useless wiki postings, but to no avail. if i could, i'd run this piece of junk over with my car's tires!!!!!!!!!

everyone i know that has a nokia never complains about it.

nokia > htc > samsung > lg > sony ericsson, rim> apple

It's not the dumbest, most confusing POS ever. I loved my 8830 while I had it for 2 years. Obviously the device is not what you wanted. You seem to want a media device like the iPhone or a Nokia. You should have done some more research on the device prior to making the purchase.

Loading themes on the device is very simple. If it's OTA, then browse to the theme from your BB Browse. If it's not, then load it via DM.

I tried using its media manager - no luck
I placed the files on a sd card like one site said - no luck
DM doesn't even detect it.

You don't need Media Manager. You need Desktop manager, and then click App Loader then click Browse and locate the .cod/.alx files.

What theme is it? Is it for the 88xx devices? What OS is it for? What OS are you running? Where did you get the theme? Do you have a link to it?

Sounds like someone should have done a little homework before making a purchase.

Funny thing - BB has overtaken the iPhone in unit sales. Yep...they must be a POS..

See, that wasn't too bad, was it? The device isn't bad at all. Just give it some time, get to learn it and I think you will begin to enjoy it.

Wirelessly posted

You see, the BlackBerry is not a toy, its a powerful device for serious work and serious fun. If you're looking for a toy, then the BlackBerry is not for you.

However I hear fishe-price is selling a very expensive toy under the apple brand called an iphone.

It needs to be said again, and I'll do it . . .

The blackberry is not for everyone.
