My blackberry has been shutting off on its own and you know when you get a text or some kind of message, well the red light stays on even if I have the battery out!!!! I contacted the "1-800" number and they sent me a new Blackberry Curve 8330 and I just don't want to mess with a blackberry anymore. Also, the media player doesnt work worth a flip. Nothing works, even my email account

Clearly the wrong device for you - don't frustrate yourself further. Get another device.
I'm sure Sprint has something you'll like.

I've had a few 'blips' with mine, but not the problem you're describing.

But NJ may be right (he's rarely wrong).
