Yes! I agree, this will certainly show them. Let's all boycott BBM5 until they release it. Take that RIM, we will not use a product that you don't want us to use until you release it!

I can't believe I missed out on this gem of a thread.

If you can't get BBM 5.0 to install. Do a back up on DM, wipe the device clean, reinstall BBM first then perform the back up from DM.

I think I would reinstall the OS after the wipe, and before the BBM install.

Maybe not, I'm just saying...

Either way, a wipe will most likely take care of the problem.

No, not either way. You'll definitely need to install the OS first.

It doesn't wipe the OS. It wipes it back to when you pull the device out of the box (its empty).

ah, that kind of wipe, a security wipe.

Well it's probably all for naught anyway, since the OP can't find his old software anywhere and RIM is hiding it from him.

ON with the boycott!

The OP must be a n00b. Everyone knows RIM hides all of their leaked software in the cookie jar on top of the fridge.

It may be due to wap.

IF YOU TYPE A LITTLE IN LOWERCASE AND THEN THE REST IN UPPERCASE, IT TRICKS THE FILTER.

We lost another one to the "Blackberry Company." :( Now our boycott of unreleased software until it's released will never work.
